Show Shirlin Giles, 6, Struck By Car Condition of Shirlin Giles, 6, who was struck by a car driven by Mrs. Ruth Mecham, Salt Lake City, late Friday, was reported "good" Thursday by her physican. Shirlin, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Giles, 105 East Center Stret, had purchased candy at Allen's Market, and ran out of the store directly in the path of the car driven by Mrs. Mecham, Chief Adfomson said. The child was taken to American Ameri-can Fork hospital for a check-up of possible internal injuries. She wa staken to her home a day later. Two other accidents occurring on Friday were a collision of a tanker and a car in which Mrs. Marion Decker of Provo was injured, in-jured, and a hit-run case in which a cow owned by Boyd Anderson was killed about three-fourths of a mile beyond the south city limits. - The cow had been hit and left to die by the side of the road. The driver of the car has not been located. |
