Show Reception Honors Young Newlyweds Nicely arranged and complete as to detail was the wedding reception recept-ion hostessed by Mr. and Mrs Lewis Olpin on Sept. 19, honoring their daughter Margaret Elaine and Mr. Jack Westover, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Westover who were married earlier in the day in the Salt Lake City LDS temple The briday party received relatives rel-atives anj friends in the First ward recreation hall in front of the large window which was draped drap-ed in pink, with a tall basket of gladiola adding beauty and charm. On the lineup were the bride and groom, their parents, the brides sister, Mrs. Elwood Sundberg, matron of honor, attending matrons, mat-rons, Mrs. Stanley Weeks, and Mrs. Paul Peterson, and bridesmaids, brides-maids, Miss Jewell Olpin, Miss Patricia Hillman, Miss Raquel Adamson and Udell Westover, who was best man for his brother. The charming bride chose for her wedding a gown of satin and lace, modeled entrain with fitted bodice and long pointed lace sleeves. sleev-es. Her five tiered, lace trimmed fingertip veil, fell from a crown of seed f-u-ls. She carried a bridal bouquet of gardenias circled with roses. The brides mother was gowned in dusty rose, -while Mrs. West-over West-over wore beige. Both pinned on corsages of gardenias and roses. Receiving guests at the door were Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Murdock, and Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Thorne. Mrs. Udell Westover handled the guest book. Dan Peterson, master of ceremonies, cere-monies, introduced the program numbers, a vocal solo, "My Wonderful Wond-erful One," Miss Lynell Johnson, accompanied by Miss Ann Clark; piano solo, "Because" Karen Joseph; Jo-seph; Toast to the bride, Norma Jean King of Ceste Tie social unit; un-it; vocal solo, "For Time and Eternity," Blaine Stephenson, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Stephenson. Toast to the groom, Karl Banks; vocal solo, "It's the Loveliest Night of the Year." Dancing, refreshments, and viewing the beautiful gift display ended the evening's festivities. In the gift room Miss Elda Mayhew was assisted by Misses Kiley, Tolman and Wiltbank, former for-mer missionary companions of the bride. The long table in the refreshment refresh-ment room covered with a fine lace cloth, was centered with a beautiful wedding cake, flanked by lighted white candles in crystal crys-tal holders. Here Mrs. Belle Hanson Han-son was in charge. Young ladies who served were Gayle Thorne, Renae Orton, Arlene Jorgensen, Laura Jean Joseph, and Geniel Simper. The temple marriage earlier in the day was solemnized by Temple President Robert Young. Witnessing Witness-ing the sacred service were the brides' parents, the bridegroom's mother, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Weeks and Elwood Sundberg. The newly weds left Tuesday for "Chicago where they will establish es-tablish their home and where Mr. Westover will continue his studies at Northwestern University. |
