Show 1 Parents Of Young Newlyweds j Hold Openhouse ! Elegance and easy hospitality were the prevailing features of the open house honoring just-weds just-weds Dorace Peay and Grant Anderson An-derson on Wednesday evening. The lovely affair, oo-hostessed by the parents of the young couple Mr. and Mrs. Golden Peay of Salt Lake City and Dr. and Mrs. G. Y. Anderson, was held at the new home of the Anderson's. Large baskets of gladioli graced the rooms where more than 500 relatives and friends greeted the bride and groom and their parents. The attractive bride chose a gown of brocated white satin, form fitting and pinned on a corsage cor-sage of red and white roses. She was unattended. Mrs. Peay wore red and Mrs. Anderson chose pale blue, both with harmonizing corsages of gladioli. Assisting in receiving and directing dir-ecting guests were Sam and Jean i Anderson Sorensen of New York. Miss Patricia Anderson handled the guest book, where friends from many different points in Utah and Idaho registered. Mrs. Reed Halliday arranged the gift display, assisted by relatives rel-atives of the two families. In the large dining room where tasty refreshments were served, an embroidered linen cloth covered the table where a gorgeous wedding wed-ding cake formed the centerpiece. Formally gowned yoking ladies who served were Mrs. Lloyd Boren, Mrs. Wayne Peay, Miss Mary Lou Gardiner, Mrs. Harley Gillman, Mrs. Robert Sho-ell, Sho-ell, Miss Eloise Richards. The popular young couple were married Wednesday morning in the Salt Lake LDS temple with Harold B. Lee of the Council of Twelve officiating. Witnessing the ceremony were the parents of the bride and groom, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Sorensen of New York, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Peay, Mr. and Mrs. David Wilson of Ogden, Mrs. Irving Johnson, Mrs. Luline James of Malad, Idaho. Following the temple ceremony, the entire party, joined by Mr. and Mrs. George Peay and Miss Patricia and Paul Anderson, Irving Irv-ing Johnson, Marvin and Don Peay, Mr. and Mrs. Garth James and Vern Hales, were guests of Dr. and Mrs. Anderson at a wedding wed-ding breakfast in the Pioneer Room at Hotel Utah. On Monday prior to the marriage marr-iage the young couple with Mrs. Golden Peay, Dr. and Mrs. Anderson, Ander-son, Mrs. Irving Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Sorensen and Dr. and Mrs. Wayne B. Hales enjoyed a session at the Manti temple. |
