Show Alpine Motor Co. Announces Two Day Celebration Oct. 9-10 The Alpine Motor Company, Harold .Hollcy, manager, has made another bio: step forward in the purchasing of additional property to the west of the original plant, and the completion of the hard surfacing sur-facing of the entire property. This latest improvement covers the entire 40,000 square feet of used car lot and parking area, to the rear of the sales and service building. The entire area drains to one point in the southwest corner corn-er and then into the creek bed. The latest used car space faces directly onto the state highway and is accessible to the street and highway traffic through a wide drive-way. New lighting has been installed and the expansive grounds present a most pleasing view to the public. Tlu expanding Ford agency plant with its sales rooms, office, parts department and large repair and service department is a far cry from the original plant that Mr. Holley took over in 1937. At this writing the Alpine Motor Co. is the second largest Ford agency in Utah County. The company has sold 2535 automobiles auto-mobiles and trucks and this year they have averaged one every six hours for the working days of the year. The company started out here in 1937 with three employees and today the number has increased to an all-high of eighteen with a cash volume reaching some $500,-000 $500,-000 a year. Mr. Holley has spent the major portion of his mature life in the automobile business and his present pres-ent plant is considered one of the largest Ford agencies in the state. This firm services the three larger cities of north Utah County as well as the three smaller towns. A special two day opening celebration cele-bration is set up for Friday and Saturday this week-end by this firm and a cordial invitation is extended ex-tended to all the people of north Utah County to celebrate the opening op-ening of their new used car lot. Refreshments, Re-freshments, door prizes and a special spec-ial dance have been outlined for entertainment of the public this week end, Oct. 9 and 10. |
