Show Graveside Services For Sgt. Wright Are Saturday Graveside funeral services will be conducted in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery for Sgt. Newell C. Wright, Saturday at 3 o'clock. Sgt. Wright died .at Luzan, P. I. on March 13, 1945 from wounds received re-ceived in action, after 31 months of service in the Pacific. The service ser-vice will be in charge of Bishop Alroy Gillman of Lindon in connection con-nection with the American Legion Post No. 70. Friends may call at the Olpin Mortuary Saturday until time of services. Sgt. Wright was born in Lindon on December 4, 1921 to Clarence C. and Gracia Newell Wright. He received his education in the schools of Pleasant Grove and was a 1940 graduate of the Pleasant Grove high school. He enlisted in the army March 13, 1941. He married mar-ried Thelda Gillis on June 14, 1942. Survivors include his parents, of Lindon, his wife and five year old daughter Sharon Anne of Murray, two brothers, Grant and Ken Wright, two sisters, Mrs. Ardith Lewis and Mrs. Cleora Maxfield, and one grandmother, Mrs. Annie Wright. The body of Sgt. Wright will arrive here Saturday morning. |
