Show Halloween Party i Enjoyed By The Variety Club A well planned party in Keeping with Halloween was enjoyed Thursday Thur-sday evening by the Variety Club and their husbands, at the Wm. Hunter home, which was fittingly decorated for spooks and ghosts to hide. Everyone appeared in gay or ghostly costume. Mr. and Mrs. Witch were specal guests. On en-' tering the home everyone were obliged ob-liged to slide down a shoot to spook alley. The Witch judged the costumes. Juanita Larson as Aunt Jermina, won the ladies prize and Dean Peterson Pet-erson as a bobby soxer was awarded awar-ded the gentlemen's prize. At the scavanger hunt that followed fol-lowed Mary Harper's group won first place. Fish pond and fortune telljXg' caused much fun. Everyone entering the fortune telling booth where Mrs. Witch presided must, first drink witches brew. ; ,' If The highlight oi the evening came -when at 'tn'e" unmasking; when Mr. and Mrs. Witch, who held everyone in suspense earlier in the evening proved to be the lovable couple, President and Mrs. Merrill N. Warnick. The hot supper centered around delicious meat pies, the elk roast for which was provided by Lavell Boren, one of the lucky elk hunters. hun-ters. Committee in charge of arrangements arrange-ments were Mrs. Nina Hunter, chairman and Mrs. Ora Boren, Mrs. Ruby Warnick, Mrs. Wanda Blackhurst, Mrs. Eva Orton and Mrs. Leatha Carson. |
