Show District Chairmen Announced At District Club Conference The fall presidents conference of the Timpanogos First District, held in the Timpanogos ward recreation re-creation hall Saturday afternoon, was attended by 50 presidents and representatices of the federated women's club. Mrs. A. Frank Gais-ford, Gais-ford, American Fork, president of the district was in charge. The conference theme was "Peace in Our Homes, Peace in Out State and Peace in Our Nation." Nat-ion." The club collect was given by Mrs. Karl Banks, Pleasant Grove, Reports of the recent state board meeting in Salt Lake City were presented by Mrs. Stanley Taylor. Lehi, secretary and Mrs. Sherman Christenseen, Provo, first vice president. pre-sident. Mrs. Lynn D. Taylor, fine arts chairman of the state federation and Mrs. Eliza Fillmore, district chairman both of Provo spoke on . the Penny Art contest and the fine arts. "Hou- to help : keep the peac e and what is happening in the United Nations today" was the topic discussed by Mrs. L. L. Cul-limore, Cul-limore, Provo, state chairman of international affairs. Mis. R. G. Gilligan, Orem. chair-i chair-i man of foreign correspondence, read letters received from women of foreign countries in the past several years. Plans whereby clubs may aid the youth of the communities commun-ities were outlined by Mrs. Lyean Johnson, Pleasant Grove, state chairman of youth conservation. A letter from the Kaylon club, Provo, asking for admission into the district was read by Mrs. William A. Cox, Orem, and the ' request was graned upon" vote of the officers. Other clubs anticipating anticipa-ting admittance into the feder-atoin feder-atoin are the Elysum club, Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, sponsored by the Cadmus Cad-mus club, and the Serempian club of Leehi, sponsored by the Liahon-ian Liahon-ian club.
