Show Variety Club Met Thursday In a beautiful setting bespeaking the advent of spring, Mrs. Willis Larson assisted by her mother, Mrs. Pearl Chapman, arranged a delightful evening for the members of the Variety club on Thursday. Decorations and general atmosphere atmos-phere of the room so bright and glowing, that guests entering forgot for-got the cold, the snow and the fog through which they plodded and entered into the buoyant spirit of the surroundings. Following the tasty luncheon, the time was spent at Cameron. Mrs. Gail Pack and Mrs. Naomi Walker were special guests. First prize was won by Eva Or-ton Or-ton and second prize by Leatha Carson, and Gail Pack carried off the guest prizes. Beautiful gifts were presented to retiring club officers. Other club members present were Mary Harper, Merle Armit-stead, Armit-stead, Nina Hunter, Ruby Warn-ick, Warn-ick, , Betty Oscarson, Fern Peterson, Peter-son, Ida Halliday, Ora Boren and Hazel Bullock. On Feb. 10, the club members will entertain their husbands at a Valentine party. Next regular meeting will be held at Wanda Blackhurst's home on Feb. 24. |
