Show Will Collect Christmas Trees Saturday For Deer To Eat "A. membership in the Pleasant Grove Wildlife Federation will help feed the starving- deer and game biids in this area," says George L. Smith, president of the association. All of the money collected from 1919 memberships is being' used to supplement the money appropriated appropriat-ed from state fish and game department de-partment to feed the deer and game birds in this area, according to Mr. Smith. The officers of the federation urge all sportsmen to join the association as-sociation now, in order that this money can be spent now while there is an emergency' existing. The membership cards can be se-! cured at the Smith Drug or from Wilford Freeman, secretary. As a further cooperation in the saving of deer, a request is sent I out for everybody who has their Christmas tree saved, please put it out on the edge of the street Saturday and the agriculture boys of the high school wjjl pick them up and take them to the deer feeding grounds. Reports are that many of the1 deer eating alfalfa hay alone is dying on the feed grounds. They need some other type of forage and will eat pine trees to supplement the alfalfa. |
