Show Mrs. Rose B. Hayes! Pioneer Woman, Observes Birthday Rose B. Hayes, beloved pioneer woman of this city observed her 90th birthday anniversary on Dec. 21st. During the week many relatives from out of town as well as local people called to offer good wishes and felicitations. Among them were her sons Mr. and Mrs. Claude Hayes, and Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Hayes and son Lee and daughter Helen. Mrs. Amy Brown Lyman of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Verveiene Pingree were visitors one day during the week. On Saturday Professor and Mrs. Junius J. Hayes of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hayes of Payson, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hayes of Provo and David Hayes of Salt Lake enjoyed dinner with their mother and grandmother. Mrs. Hayes in spite of her 90 years, cares for home and makes her frequent trips to shop and attend at-tend to other business matters. She still takes an active part in the D. U. P. organization, and is considered an authority on the origin and use of relics and of pictures in the relic hall and very much enjoys helping as a guide there when visitors are present. Needless to say the entire community com-munity extends birthday greetings to this beloved woman. |
