Show JUST FOR KIDS Bom's. lu' Story of a Misunderstood Misunder-stood lo- Bones is wrongfully accused of stealing chickens by Mr. Reed, a chicken farmer. Bones did not really do it, but so far David jlowntree, his owner, is unable to prove that he did not. David is very upset about these conditions, and even more upset when he realizes that he cannot do anything any-thing about it. The afternoon after Reed's accusation the deputy sheriff. Joseph Dillinger, came to tell the Rowntrees that they would have to bring Bones to court where the proceedings would be taken up against them. When Mr. Rowntree consulted his wife and son, they pursuade the serious jlr. Dillinger to let them have twenty-four hours in which to search for clues, which he granted rather hesitantly. That night David and his father spent at the Reed's farm, searching search-ing for evidence. Nothing was found but a tuft of hair collected from the barbed wire fence, which Mr. Rowntree said he was sure was Bones'. At four o'clock that afternoon iMr. Dillinger arrived with the Sews that the Rowntrees and Bones would have to accompany him to the courthouse. Continued next week.
