Springville seemed to enjoy the program very much, at least we hope they did. Thre students of Pleasant Grove high are expecting a very good assembly to be presented pres-ented by the Springville high school on February 26. These assemblies are being presented pres-ented to different schools in the surrounding areas to promote a better relation between the different differ-ent schools. HERE WE GO AGAIN' Wednesday, February 18, the Grovettes are playing their fifth game of the season when they play Lehi on the Pioneer Court. When the P. G. team played Lehi before, the Grovettes were victorious by a large margin. Of the four games played by the P. G. I girls they haven't lost, not even once. Since the girls are competing for the use of the gym with the boys team, FFA and so on, they have not had a chance to practice. When playing A. F. last week they weren't too sure of winning, seeing that they hadn't had any practice for more than two weeks. But with all that they were1 victorious 49-41. Every team that has been played by these mighty Grovettes, has furnished real competition. The team fias had some good games and hope that things will still be the same in the future with everyone doing her part, to help us win all the games that are left to play. DEBATE Debate with Jordan Tuesday, February Feb-ruary 17 found students from Jordan Jor-dan here to debate the five teams of our Debate Club. This was only a practice debate so there were no judges to decide who won. This was the first debate of the season in preparation for the trip to Ogden on the 5th and 6th of March. There is a promise of a return bout at Jordan. |
