Show Dr. Howard R. Driggs Will Be Married Sept. 26 Of much interest to local relatives rel-atives and friends is the marriage of Dr. Howard R. Driggs of Utah and New York and Mrs. Margaret Quarrier of Kansas City, which will take place on Sept. 26. Vows will be spoken in the Dan-forth Dan-forth Chapel on the campus of the University in Lawrence, Kansas. Dr. Calvin F. Price, former dean of the school of religion at the University of Kansas will officiate. The bride to be is a graduate of University of Kansas and is past president of a number of historical histor-ical organizations in the midwest, and is affiliated with the International Inter-national Federation of University Women. The National organization of Pioneer Trails has awarded her an honorary life membership and a distinguished citation for her work in preserving the history of the west. Dr. Driggs needs no introduction to local friends, who known him since childhood, and marked his success in life with pride and affection. af-fection. His untiring efforts in preserving preserv-ing the trails landmarks and history his-tory of the Old West; his keen appreciation ap-preciation of the Mormon pioneers and all empire builders of the west and his great love and pride in Pleasant Grovei his birthplace, have made him almost a tradition. |
