Show Manila 4-H Girls Win Honors At State Fair Manila 4-H clubs really did themselves proud the past week at the state fair. ' Jean Pulley and LaPriel Allen took honors, as one of two teams in the state who received blue ribbons and gold medals for their meal preparation. Three hours were allowed for planning, cooking cook-ing and serving a meal to four persons and at a cost of 52.00. The menu the two local girls used was, Fried chicken and gravy, baked potatoes, buttered carrots with parsley, tomato and cucumber cucum-ber salad, buttered hot rolls, fresh peaches with cream, and milk. Jean is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Pulley and LaPriel is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Allen. Their leaders are Mrs. Ray Pulley and Mrs. Nelda Warnick. Warn-ick. Each other group exhibit was also in the blue ribbon class. First year clothing with Marilyn Walker leader won high in their exhibit.
