Show IHJHE JEWSJ F F.A. BASKETBALL The first F.F.A. basketball game of the season was played Thursday with American Fork. We lost 15-27. 15-27. However the boys looked very well, and with a little more practice pract-ice they should be able to win most of their remaining games. The second game will be played i Friday with Wasatch at Pleasant t Grove. Better luck this time, boys. F. F. A. BANQUET The Timpanogos Chapter of the Future Farmers of America held their annual "Fathers and Sons Banquet" Thursday, December 8. Dinner was served after the official offic-ial opening ceremony. A talk was then given by Eugene Hansen, followed fol-lowed by a skit. Each boy brought his father. Principal Karl Banks, Superintend" ent D. R. Mitchell, State Director Elvon Downs, Professor L. R. Humphries, and state F.F.A.. officers off-icers were present. BASKETBALL GAME Friday night, December 3, the Vikings played their first game of I the season against Spring-viHe high in the Springville gym ! The first half was very close 1 with Pleasant Grove leading lt-13, lt-13, but the P. G. boys pulled away j in the second half with Bezzant and Gourlcy hitting consistently. . The final score was Pleasant Gruve 36 Springville 22. The whole team played a great game. The next Viking game will be tonight at Bingham. We wish all the luck in the world to a fine team. FACULTY PARTY Friday, December 17, at 7:30 pin the annual winter party of I he faculty will be held at the Alpine Grill. The chairman of the party is Rex Gourley. The PTA is cooperating by furnishing fur-nishing part (if the prize money and serving as judges. The prices will ; be: ! 2 first prizes of S5 each for Jr. ! and Sr. High. j 2 second prizes of S3 each for Jr. ' and Sr High. j 2 third prizes of $2 each for Jr. I and Sr. high. The contest is open now, and the rooms will be judged on Tuesday. Tues-day. December 21. 1918. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Johnson en-I en-I tertaincd their family at a goose ; supper one evening the past week'. Covers were laid for Mr and Mrs. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Golden i Peay and family, Mr. and Mrs. I Lye'an Johnson and daughters, and J Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Johnson and family. The two prize geese were I bagged by the host. I Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Johnson I and family were guests at a dinner din-ner party in Lchi this week honoring honor-ing the birthday anniversary of Mrs. Johnsons father, J F.
