OF THE COSTS OF SPECIAL i IMPROVEMENTS IN STREET J PAVING DISTRICT NO. ,1, PLEASANT GROVE CITY, U- ! TAH. MADE DURING THE j YEAR 19-18, AND PROVIDING I FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF PROPERTY" IN SAID DISTRICT. DIS-TRICT. BE IT ORDAINED BY" THE CITY ' COUNCIL OF PLEASANT GROVE CITY, UTAH: 1. Section 1. For the purpose of raising revenue to pay a portion of the costs and expenses of special street paving' improvements made during the year 1948 in Street Paving District No. 3 in Pleasant Grove, Utah, the City Council does hereby levy a special improvement tax, and does hereby provide for the assessment thereof against the real property in said district here- inafter described. .Section 2. This special tax is levied upon all real property bounding bound-ing or abutting on each side of the streets -which have been paved during said year and which are hereinafter described, which property prop-erty is to be especially affected and benefited by said improvements improve-ments and it is hereby adjudged and determined that all such property prop-erty has been benefited by said improvements to the full amount of the taxes hereby levied, and said lots and tracts of land are hereby assessed in accordance with the linear foot frontage abutting on each side of said streets to the full ength of said lots and tracts of land. Section 3. The total cost of the above mentioned special improvements improve-ments which have now been completed, com-pleted, is the sum of $6,321 01 and the abutter's portion of the cost and expenses thereof is the sum of $5,747.00, and the City Treasurer Treas-urer is hereby authorized and directed dir-ected to assess said abutting real property in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance and for the purpose above mentioned. Section 4. The special tax hereby here-by levied and assessed upon abutting abutt-ing lots and tracts of land is 35c per front or linear foot on all property m front of which said paving and improvements have been constructed during the said year 1948 provided, however, that corner lots or corner tracts of land shall be allowed a reduction of 10 feet frontage wherever the streets running along both sides of said corner lots or corner tracts of land have each been paved and improved as part of said Street Paving District No. 3 along the full frontage of both sides of said corner lots or corner tracts of land. Section 5. Said special tax assessments as-sessments shall be due and payable at the office of the City Treasurer in Pleasant Grove, Utah in two annual equal installments, the first of which is due on February 1, 19-19, the other of which is due on the 1st day of February, 1950. Interest shall be charged from and after February 1, 1949 at the rate of 6 per cent per annum on all unpaid portions of said assessments, assess-ments, and the lots and tracts of land upon which said special tax is levied and which said tax is not paid when due will be subject to specia tax tale as provided by law and city ordinance. Section 6. The real property on which this special tax is levied is described as follows,' to-wit: All property abutting- on each side of the streets which have been paved during the year 1948 and which said streets are as follows: Second South street from Loader Lane running east for the full distance dis-tance said street has been paved; Fourth East street between Fifth North street and Seventh North street; First North street from Fourth East street to east line of the Horace Monson property. The real property on which this special tax is assessed is also further described as follows, to wit: All abutting lots and tracts of land along- the south side of Blocks 170, 171. 172, 173 and 174; all abutting lots and tracts of land along the north side of blocks 179, 180, 181, 182, 183 and 184; all abutting lots and tracts of land along the cast sides of Blocks 77 and 109; all abutting lots and tracts of land along tfre west side of Blocks 76 and 110; all abutting lots and tracts of land along the south side of blocks 42, 43, 44, 45 and proposed future blocks 119 I and 148, and all abutting lots and tracts of land along the north side of blocks 38. 39, 40, 41 and I proposed future blocks 150 and 151 all according' to the official plat of Pleasant Grove City, Utah. Section 7 This ordinance shall become effective on the 30th day after its publication. Passed unanimously by the City |
