Show Funeral Rites Held For Owen Thornton On Tuesday . Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the American Fork First ward chapel for Owen E. Thornton, twho died Saturday in a Salt Lake hospital after several weeks illness. Among the speakers were President Vilace Radmall and Elvin Thome of Pleasant Grove. Mr. Thornton was born in American Amer-ican Fork on November I t, 1888 to Oliver and Emeretta Phillips Thornton. He spent his entire life in his native city where he was a members of the LDS church. On November 17.1909, he mar-lied mar-lied Alice Peterson of this city. For the past 22 year Mr. Thornton Thorn-ton has worked at the fronton Steel Plant Survivors include his widow, two sons, and three daughters, Thclma Larson. Lake Shore, Utah; James Thornton. Orem; Elaine Warwood, Provo: Geniel and Richard Thornton, Thorn-ton, American Fork; a brother, Ira J. Thornton of Boise, Idaho; four sisters. Mrs. Alice T. Hol-man, Hol-man, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Eva Wilson, Garfield, Mrs. Mae Crook-ston, Crook-ston, American Fork and Mrs. Sylvia Peterson of Pleasant Grove. Among local people attending the funeral Tuesday were Mr. and Mrs. William J. Peterson. Mr and Mrs. H. C. Robertson. James Peterson, Pet-erson, Mr. and Mrs. Vilace Radmall, Rad-mall, Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Thorne. Mr. and Mrs Perry Jensen, Lyman Robertson, Melvin and Ruth Peterson Peter-son McDaniel and sons Ralph and Brue of Salt Lake City. |
