They played a number of unusual unus-ual instruments, chromonicas, ocarinas, oc-arinas, tire-pumps, hand saws, wooden spoons, and toy balloons. There were Dutch. Chinese, tap, and folk dances; character iir, personations; per-sonations; comedy monologues; vocal vo-cal selections; and ventriloquism, i All these features made the assem- ! bly sparkling and original. RED CROSS BOXES The American Junior Red Cross asked the school to prepare fifty boxes to be sent to poverty stricken people for Christmas. The boxes are small but they hold a surprising number of items. They bear the words "Grcetitigs from the American Junior Red Cross." The boxes are sent to Europe and to the Facific. These are some thing's that are listed to be put in the boxes; three pencils, three small pads, a cake of soap, a toothbrush, toothpaste. These are the things that are in great demand in those countries. The seventh grade was asked to fill the boxes, which they have done. The Home Economics Club will check them on Wednesday, November 5 under the direction of Miss Henderson and Mrs. Carlson.
