Show WITH THE SERVICE : MEN : Lieutenant and Mrs. Don Hilton I & baby are visiting this week' with the Lieutenant's parents Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Hilton Raymond Bastian. U. S. Navy-arrived Navy-arrived home Tuesday evening to spend a five day leave with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bastian. Bast-ian. Raymond has recently completed com-pleted boot training a San Diego, California. Pfc. Ivan Colledge just returned from Itotlv ard jc sv,..-)..- - .(-day .(-day furlough here wiUi his wife Fern Carlson Colledge and their son. Pfc. Colledge has been in tlie serviie tliree years, half of " which ras been spent overseas. He wears three battle stars. He is the son of Mrs. Nina Colledge of Lehi. Paul Roundy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Roundy arrived home this week to fake up life' as a civilian civ-ilian after three years service in the navy air corps. One year has been spent in the Pacific area. Mr. Roundy received his disharge last week at San Diego, California. He was a seamna 2-c and is in possesion posses-ion of the D. F. C. and Air medal. His brother Pvt. Garth Roundy received re-ceived his release some time ago, Garth was attached to the army medical corps.' LaVerl Burns is another local man who this week returned to civilian life. Mr. Burns has been in the service nearly two years, eighteen months of which has been spent in France and Germany. He attained the rank of staff sergeant in the quartermasters corps, In the grave markers division. He is the son of Mrs. Agnes Burns. His wife was Inez Leatham. ' Blaine awenson has returned to civilian life after 33 months of serve ser-ve in the U. S, army air corps. Mr, Swenson who attained the rank of Tehnlcal Sergeant and has been overseas more than two years "and saw service in England. France, and Germany, where he reports how happy he was at meeting his brother "Lieut. Knute Swenson, Captain Harry Loader, Ben Loader and several other local boys. Sgt. Mrs Bryce Adams has received word from her husband that he is stationed in Toyko Pfc. Adams has been overseas four montlis witli a tank destroyer batallion. He is the son of Mr and Mrs Silas Adams Private and Mrs. Donald G. Hall arrived last Week from Camp Wolters, Texas, t visit with Pvt. Hall's mother, Mrs. Grant Hall and family On Friday, October 38, Pvt. Hall will leave for Fort Ord, Caifomia for further assignment. R Dee Smith, Fireman 1-c U. S. Navy, is spending a thirty day leave with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Rudger' Smith. Mr, Smith recently returned from overseas duty. Private Bernard Swenson is here on an emergency furlough from Camp Roberts California. Bernard was called home owing to the illness ill-ness of his father, E. J. Swenson, who received a fractured knee when kicked by a horse two weeks ago Private Swenson will return to his station Monday. Corporal Grant Fowles is visiting visit-ing here with his father Grant Fowles and family Grant has reentry re-entry returned "from months of service ser-vice in Europe. After a thirty-day furlough he will report at Seymour Johnson Field, Goldsborough, North Carolina, Staff Sergeant Newell Adamson is spending a 34 day furlough here with his parentsMr and Mrs. Dewey Adamson. Sergeant Adamson Adam-son has been ' in the service two years, 18 months of-which has been spent in Italy. He wears the Purple Heart, the bronze star and the good conduuet medal. Next week Sgt. Adams will visit with Bis sister Mrs Lee Oler and family at Shelley, Shell-ey, Idaho, and with a buddy Sgt. Browning, Ashjon, Idaho. On Oct. 30 he will report to Fort Douglas. j Robert Holdaway Has been granted grant-ed his dis harge 'from the XT. S. Navy, and returned home to take ; up civilian life with his wife and ' j two small children. Mr. Holdaway received his discharge on Sept. 15 1 at Oakland Navy Hospital, in Calif. I and arrived home last Sunday.
