I i A Proclamation Milk and its products constitute an important part of the diet of our entire population and are an absolutely essential part of the daily food supply of many of our citizens. It is generally recognized that our present consumption con-sumption of milk is far short of the amounts consid-- consid-- ered by nutrition authorities as proper and practical, namely, one quart daily for children through ado-lenscence ado-lenscence and one pint daily for adults. Twenty-five dairy employees in American Fork and 150 farmers who supply this vital food to our citizens, and also the families of these people, are directly dependent upon this industry for their welfare wel-fare and the future vigor of this great industry will be reflected directly in their well being, and, through them, in this great industrial area. As Mayor of the City of American Fork, I hereby proclaim the month of June as DAIRY MONTH and ask the citizens of American Fork to give recognition through act and deed to this great industry, its many workers within our city and its thousands of farmers in nearby counties who supply us with this vital food.
