Show Manila Fair Winners Are Announced The Manila Fair and Achievement Achieve-ment program held last Friday afternoon and evening, proved very successful in every detail. The achievement program where prizes and awards were given, began be-gan at 8 o'clock and was as follows fol-lows : Club and patriotic songs by 4-H girls chorus, including Marilyn Warnick, Irene Warnick, Mildred Roundy, Ruth Brown, Hannah Beth Monson, Leah Jean Swensen, and Beverly West, accompanied by Lyle Beth Atwood. Talks, "How 4-H Club work makes better home makers" by Ruby Jeppson; Future of 4-H Swine Club by Paul Adams; Piano solo, Miss Carol Dawn Warnick; talk, Value of 4-H Holstein Calf Club to the Community, by Lee Warnick. Awarding of pins, ribbons, and prizes were conducted by Miss Rhea Hurst, home demonstration agent and S. R, Boswell, county agent. AH exhibits in the fair were ot fine quality and showed artistic arangement. In the Victory Garden contest, blue ribbons were awarded to Irene Warnick, Ruth Brown, Carla Roundy, Carol Richardson and Robert Warnick. Red ribbons were awarded to Hannah Beth Monson, Lorraine Jeppson, Gelene Ackerman, and Marilyn Warnick. White ribbons went to Jo Ann Roundy, Mildred Roundy, Ruby Jeppson, Carl Warnick, Lyle Beth Atwood, Dan Atwod and Louise Adams. 4 Year. 2 varieties of cookies, scrap book, receipe file, and record book, blue ribon. Kerr individual canning contest blue ribbons went to Ruth Brown, Marilyn Warnick and Irene War-ick War-ick chanmion. Red ribbons to Mildred Mild-red Roundv. Lyle Atwrood and R'.ihv Jennson. Mrs. Baxter and Mrs. Nelson, all of Provo, for the girls entries, and garden and cattle Wesley Soulier of the Lincoln High School. |
