Show Marriage Is Announced By Parents Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Sutton of Pleasant Grove announce the marriage mar-riage of their daughter, Helen to Dr. William S. Kirk, of Pleasant Grove. They were married in a beautiful candlelit ceremony performed per-formed by Bishop Reed Walker in the Second ward. Warren Kirk sang 'Only a Rose' before the ceremony and "The Lord's Prayer" immediately following. fol-lowing. The organ was played by Howard Paxman. The bride was attended by her sister Eleanor as maid of honor, dressed in pastel blue, made of the same pattern as the brides and bridesmaids were Elaine Nichols, of American Fork, LaVern Rhodes of Provo, and Betty and Doris Simper. All were dressed in pastel pas-tel pink of the same pattern as the brides. They all carried crosses cros-ses of pink gladiouas. The bride was dressed in white satin with a pearl beaded crown, with a floor length veil lying on the train. Her flower girls were Myrna and Sharon Brinley of Salt Lake City sprinkling rose petals and train bearers were Charlyn Thorne and Annette Matthews. Dr. Kirk had as his best man, Dan Simper. Ushers were Kirk Brinley, and Corky Kirk of Salt Lake City Don Rhodes of Provo and Ray Louder, Pleasant Grove. Immeriately following the ceremony cere-mony a reception was held in the Recreation Hall, with the line consisting con-sisting of both the bride and groom's parents, and other members mem-bers of the wedding party. The host and hostesses who greeted the people at the door were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Belliston. Dancing to the music of Howard Paxman and his orchestra, a large crowd of people enjoyed the evening. even-ing. Refreshments were served in the Relief Society Room in the basement, supervised by Mrs. Leo P. Harvey and Mrs. OraTWright and served by the Bee Hive Girls of Helen's class. Many beautiful gifts were received re-ceived by Louise Sutton and Colleen Col-leen Marrott and supervised by Mrs. Garland Clark and Mrs. Ross Smith. A program followed with Calvin Swenson as Master of Ceremonies, and consisted of two vocal solos by Jane Tyler. "O Promise Me" and "My Hero"; a piano solo by-Carol by-Carol Clark; a accordion solo by Ruth Beck, two vocal solos by Warren Kirk. "Calm As the Night" and "Because". |
