Governor CEDAR CITY Utah Lions concluded con-cluded their 24th annual convention conven-tion here Saturday with election of new district officers, adoption of resolutions including one urging urg-ing community improvement programs pro-grams for the 1947 Centennial celebration, and selection of Logan as the 1947 convention city. A proposal for creation of an additional district of Lions in the state was tabled 'for further study and action, by the next state convention. con-vention. A special committee appointed ap-pointed Friday recommended the proposition be placed in the hands of a committee to be named by the new state council for further study report by February as to boundary lines and clubs in the proposed new district. Dr. W. Woolf, past president of the Provo club and former deputy district governor, was named district dis-trict governor of 28-B succeeding M. J. Urie, Cedar City, and Lloyd M. Theurer, Charter member of the Logan club was elected district governor in 28-A, succeeting Edwin Ed-win C. Randall, Ogden. President and Mrs. H. E. Bradley and Mr. and Mrs. S. Christensen of the Pleasant Grove Lions Club i attended the convention at Cedar City. They report having a very enjoyable time. |
