Show Local News Mr. and Mrs. Brigham Van Wagner and son Dixon have returned re-turned to their home in Bakers-field, Bakers-field, California, after visiting with Mr and Mrs. Won. Blackwell in ' this city and Mr. and Mrs. John Van Wagner in Salt Lake City Mrs Victor Nelson entertained Tuesday afternoon at her home for her son Max. The guests were the sixth grade students at the Central school and their teacher. Miss Betha Storrs, and the Guide class of the Second ward ancl their teacher, tea-cher, Mrs. Eldon Johnson Tire party was given in appreciation of many kindnesses shown Max since his accident. Max has bee confined to his bed since Easter Sunday with , a fractured skull He is recovering recover-ing nicely, but has another we?k j to remain in bed. Mrs. H. S. Walker on Monday evening attended a reception given by the Utah Writers League, hon- j oring the B. Y.' U. students who were winners in the Elsie C. Carroll Car-roll short story contest and also in the poetry and journalism contest. con-test.
