Show NEWLY WEDS HONORED AT WEDDING RECEPTION Mr. and Mrs. H. Winfield Clark entertained last Friday evening, May 17, at a beautifully arranged wedding reception honoring the marriage of their daughter Joyce, and Lee Gordon Walker, son of Mr and Mrs. Benjamin Walker. The elegant affair took place in the First ward amusement hall, which was tastefully decorated with baskets of spring flowers The reception line w-as forned in the entrance hall, and included the bride and groom, their parents, Miss Carol Clark, sister of the bride, and maid of honor, Mrs. Robert James and Mrs. Don Brimley, attendants, and Horace Walker, who performed the duties of best man for his brother. The bride was charming in traditional trad-itional white satin, modeled with high neck and full length sleeves. Her finger tip veil fell from a dainty dain-ty white tiara. She carried a bridal boquet of gardenias and roses, tied with white satin. Miss Carol Clark wore pink, with a corsage of gardenias. gard-enias. Mrs. James chose a dainty flowered flow-ered organdy and Mrs. Brimley was attired in yellow . Eaoh wore corsages cor-sages of roses and sweetpeas. Mrs Clark wore a long rose colored col-ored gown with a pink corsage, while Mrs. Walker pinned red roses on her gown of black. The men of the party wore white tooutinieres. President Ray S. . Merrill served as master of ceremonies, and conducted con-ducted the program, which included, two vocal solos, O Promise Me, and Alone in my Garden, by Mrs. Floyd Wlalker, accompanied by Irwin Jensen; Jen-sen; a humorous reading, Wedding Troubles, by Mrs. A. R. King, with musical acompaniment by Mrs. Vance Baxter. Two vocal solos, My Heart is a Silent Violin, and Sunshine Sun-shine of Your Smile, by Janet Barclay, Bar-clay, accompanied by Mr. Jensen. Toasts to the newlyweds, Mrs. Mae Grua, and Jesse M. Walker Vocal duet, Whisper and I Shall Hear, by James and Charlotte Richardson, Rich-ardson, acompanied by Mr. Jensen The lovely gift display was presided pre-sided over by Mrs. Dazel Pulley, Mrs Randall Shipley and Mrs. Vance Baxter. Tasty refreshments served in the relief society hall were in charge of Mrs. Mary Eskland, Mrs Hannah Halliday, and Mrs. Pearl West. 1 Young ladies who served' were, i Misses Mary Paulson, Elma Walker, Janene Moyle, Doris Wlalker and j Shirley Baxter. The young couple exchanged j nuptial vows at high noon Friday in the Salt Lake Temple, with J. William Knight officiating. Accompanying Accom-panying them and witnessing the ceremony were the parents of both of the young couple and Mr. and Mrs. Robert James of Malad, Idaho. |
