Show Services Held For Mrs. . , MinnieAnderson . . t Impressive funeral rites were conducted Wdenesday in the Stake Tabernacle for Mrs. Minnie Anderson, Ander-son, beloved pioneer woman, who died Sunday at her home in the Third ward. Directed by Biishop Neil Y Fu-gal, Fu-gal, the sen-ice began at two o'clock with the singing mothers of the Third ward rendering Sweet Hour of Prayer. They were directed by Mrs. Avis F West and accompanied accompan-ied by Mrs. Mary Neves. Invocation was offered by Joseph S. Walker. George Paul, of the bishopric, read a letter received from Owen Anderson of Palmyra, New York, a son of Mrs. Anderson, who was unable to be present A sketch of the life of Mrs. Anderson And-erson was read by a granddaughter, Margaret Anderson. Speakers who eulogized the life and works of Mrs Anderson were Eliza Buckwalter, formerly of the Alpine stake relief sooiety presidency; presi-dency; M. S. Christianson, one time bishop of the Third ward and former for-mer member of Timpanogas stake presidency; Neil Fugal, and Bishop Joseph Storrs of American Fork Mrs. Edna H. Newman read a 'beautiful poem in behalf of the Third ward relief society and the very close friends of Mrs. Anderson. Interspersing the speakers were the following musical numbers, duet, In the Garden, by Mrs. Ethel Anderson and Mrs. Leone Told, Behold, Tis Eventide, sung by Mi's Stella Hardman and Mrs. Viola J3eers, and the closing unrmbers, O My Father, by the Singing Mothers. Moth-ers. Mrs Mary Neves accompanied all numbers and also played prelude and poslludeasACpn tmusic. Benediction was pronounced iby Albert Olson and the grave in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery was dedicated by J C. Hilton. Mrs. Anderson was born inOrn-sley inOrn-sley Denmark, Dec. 16, 1860, the daughter of Niels and Karen Marie Jensen Sorensen An active member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she served as a Sunday ( school teacher for .many years, as Relief Society president for 12 years and teacher for 47 years. She and her husband, Olie Anderson, Ander-son, whom she married Nov. 6, 1880 in Denmark, returned to their native nat-ive land together to fulfill a mission miss-ion She also had been active in Red Cross work. Surviving of her 15 children are nine sons and daughters. They are: Mrs. Annie A. VanCott, Salt Lake; Gustave A. Anderson, American Fork; Joe W .Anderson, Spanish Fork; Arthur R. Anderson, Clearfield; Clear-field; Mrs. Emily Pederson, Pleas-'ant Pleas-'ant Grove; Owen B Anderson, Palmyra, New York; Mrs. Florence A. Williams, Tooele; Mrs Myrtle A. Johnson, Sandy, and DuWayne L Anderson, Myssa, Ore; 45 grandchildren, grand-children, 18 great-grandch'd(en1 and one sister, Mrs. Sena Larson, Magna. |
