Show l-'UXERAj, SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. REVA H. GREEN Touching and impressive funeral services were hel din the Timpanogos Tim-panogos stake tabernacle Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Reva H. Green, wife of Clyde Green of this city, and her infant child. A large group of relatives and frends came out to show love and respect to the memory of the departed de-parted and express sympathy for the family. The services, under direction of thev first ward bishopric, began at 2 p. m. with Bishop J. A. West in charge. The opening number, a duet, "Whispering Hope," was sung by Mrs. J. E. Hardman and Mrs. Leland Beers, accompanied by Mrs. Eldon Swenson. Invocation was asked by Eldon Swenson of the Windsor ward bishopric. bish-opric. First speaker was Bishop Joseph Olpin of Heber who told of years of pleasant asssociation with the Green and Harper families, and in uttering words of faith and encouragement en-couragement to the bereaved, urged everyone to view the gospel of Christ from its heights rather than through our trials. Bishop Stanley B. Harris of Windsor paid tribute to the family, and expressed the thought that through faith in God we will find courage and strength. Bishop J. A. West gave closing remarks and expressed appreciation for the family fam-ily in the word, and sympathy for them in their hour of need. Musical numbers interspersing thes peakers included a vocal duet, "Jesus Lover of My Soul," by E. A. Beck and Elwood Allen. A vocal solo "In the Garden of Tomorrow," by Jeanne West, accompanied ac-companied by Maurine Linn. The closing number, "Lay My Head Beneath a Rose," was sung by Lowell Low-ell Gordon, accompanied by Mrs. Erma Swenson. Benediction was pronounced by Joseph H. Adams and the dedicatory prayer in the Tleasant Grove city cemetery was offered by Louis D. Olpin. rallbcarers, close asociates of Mr. Green, included Keith .Tense, LaVar Munstman, Earl Boothc, Eugene Halliday, McCoy Backman and Max Diamond. Mrs. Green died Thursday morning morn-ing in a Salt Lake hospital. |
