Show Young Men Needed For Training In Naval Reserve At present training and technical courses are being given to train enlisted en-listed men for officers' positions aboard ship in the naval reserves. The applicant must be in good health and, after an examination, is given an opportunity to take a four months' technical course on board ship at San Francisco, California. After completion of studies, an examination ex-amination is taken and the applicant appli-cant is sent out with the fleet for a three months' cruise, during which the training is put into practice. At the time the cruise is being made the trainee is classed as an officer in the Naval Reserve and obtains not less than $60 a month, clothes, lodging, lodg-ing, and all incidental expenses with a total time of seven months of training. The applicant can, however, how-ever, after serving seven months at sea apply for special duty at his officer's rating for duty from two months to one year each fiscal year.
