Show Band Mothers Launch Project ForNew Uniforms "Let's get new uniforms for the Pleasant Grove High School band," is the slogan adopted recently by the Band Mothers club. With this aim in mind the club has been divided into twelve committees who will be responsible for helping with some project each week to raise money. Some of the committees will sell home-made candy at the high school basketball games Friday night. They are requesting the support of the community. To outfit members of the local band so that they can appear to advantage ad-vantage with other school bands of the county, will require about $750, it is estimated. Lehi mothers raised $1100 for uniforms for their boys and girls last year. The American Fork band uniforms cost $15 each. "The local club feels that Pleasant Grove mothers are as energetic and as loyal as those of other towns, and with the help of civic and social groups and school patrons can succeed suc-ceed with this worthy project," said Mrs. Ora Thome, president of the Band club. o |
