"We naturally hope this experiment will proTe successful, and if so future fu-ture plans will be studied to extend ex-tend its use over all of cur routes." Two-way radio, it was pointed out, will enhance the safety and convenience of the vast bus traveling travel-ing public, providing flexible and instantaneous communication between be-tween driver and dispatcher or terminal ter-minal and bus-to-bus contact on the highway. It will enable the driver to receive information as to weather, weath-er, road conditions, passenger loadings, load-ings, and other operational instructions instruc-tions while the bus is actually moving mov-ing along the highway. As a convenience con-venience to passengers, it will enable en-able the transmission of emergency I messages. |
