Show Funeral Held Saturday For Jos. H. Page The First Wiard Chapel was filled almost to capacity Saturday with sorrowing relatives and friends who came from far and near to pay their last tribute of respect to Joseph H. Page and to express love and sympathy for the family. With Bishop Lewis Olpin in charge, the impressive service began be-gan at two o'clock with a vocal solo Prayer Perfect, by C. Eugene Nelson Nel-son of Provo. He was aconpanied by Mrs. Loyle Bailey. Invocation was offered by Bruce Lyman. First speaker was Raymond Pet-esson Pet-esson of Spanish Fork, boyhood and lifelong friend of Mr. Page, who also gave a sketch of the young man's life. Other speakers were Harold Crawford, Saim Peterson of the White King Soap Company, and Bishop Perchon of the ward where the Page famly lived in Salt Lake City. Musical numbers interspersing the speakers included two solos In the Garden and Sometime We'll Jnderstand, by Loyle Bailey, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Bailey and the closing clos-ing number sung by Warren Kirk, accompanied by Elwpod Sundberg. I After closing remarks by Bishop Olpin, the benedictoon was pronounced pron-ounced by A. P. Wamick. At the graveside in the Pleasant Grove cemetery a brass quartette from the B. Y. U. directed by Dr. John R. Halliday played two numbers num-bers after which RJoy Olpin of the Fillmore stake presidency offered the dedicatory prayer. Pall bearers were Eldon Johnson, Tony Vilan, Phil Debbs, Ray Bush, Raymon Peterson and Ethan Peay. Mr Page died earlier in the week of a heart attack while visiting relatives at 'Cedar City. He and his Wife, (Lucille Fowlke (Page, were I former residents of Pleasant Grove, where both were graduates of the Pleasant Grove High School. |
