Show Funeral Held Wed. For Emily Jensen Impressive funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon in the Second Ward L. D. S. Chapel for Mrs. Emily Williamson Jlenisen!,' who died Thursday, March 21, at the American Fork Hospital following follow-ing a heart attack suffered earlier in the week at her home. The service, conducted by Bishop Reed O. Walker, began at two o'clock with a vocal duet, In the Garden, sung fey Mrs. J. E. Hardman and Mrs. Leland Beers, accompanied accompan-ied by Mrs. J. Howard Nelson. President Ray S. Merrill offered the invocation. A sketch of the life of Mrs. Jensen Jen-sen was read by a granddaughter, Onpha Walker. Speakers who extolled the life and works of Mrs. Jensen and offered words of encouragement and sympathy to the family were, Elvin Thorne, a son in law and Junius A. West. Closing remarks were made by Bishop Walker. Musical numbers included a second sec-ond number by Mrs. Hardman and Mrs. Beers, Softly and Tenderly Jesus is Calling, a violin solo, Cradle Song from Berceise, by Mariyn Weight, accompanied by Miss Eloise Richards, and the closing number, IV e Heard of a Beautiful City, by Mrs. E. Ray Brown, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Nelson. Benediction was pronounced by Earl A. Beck. Internment, directed :by Olpin Brothers, was made in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery, where Ernel Williamson offered the dedicatory prayer. Pall bearers were Eivin R. Thome, E. Max Thorne, David Walker, Jack M. Kirk, Ernel Williamson and Herbert Brightall. |
