Show Lindon Community Fair Plans Are Outlined By Committeemen in Charge Chairman Ken Gillman reports that plans for Lindon's Community Fair, to be held on August 30, have been completed. Lindon is looking forward to a most enjoyable en-joyable day. Committees have been chosen, and the exhibits and shows promise prom-ise to be interesting and complete. Entertainment for the afternoon and plenty of good things to eat will make the day worth-while for all. The home Exhibits, under the direction of Chairman Ruth Lovell and her committees will be varied and unusual. Prizes and ribbons will be given. The dairy stock will be judged under the Danish system in 4 classes, clas-ses, according to Joe Swensen, chairman, and the 4-H stock will be judged on fitting and showman- ship. Hogs and sheep will be under the direction of Reed Gillman. Floyd Bezzant, chairman of the Horse show states that both draught and riding horses will be shown. Field crops, including all fruits and vegetables will be a large and interesting exhibit, with chairman Hollis Maxfield in charge. The 4-H Girls will enter a sewing sew-ing exmuit, according to Florence Gillman, 4-H club leader. Chairman Len Walker promises good entertainment in the afternoon after-noon and a horse pulling contest with Ken Gillman in charge will round out the day. All judges will be individuals who are outstanding in their separate sep-arate fields. |
