Show Poultrymen Share Half Million Dollars "All poultrymen who delivered eggs or poultry to the Utah Poultry Poul-try Producers Cooperative Asso-. ciation during the year 1945 will, within the next 30 days, share $543,000 in patronage refunds," announces Mr. C. K. Ferre, Assistant Assist-ant Secretary. Mr. Ferre continues: con-tinues: "There are two refunds. "One, an egg patronage refund, returns to the poultrymen .93 cents per case for every case of eggs delivered to the Association during the year 1945. The .93 cents per case represents a cash payment now of .65 cents per case, the balance (.28 cents per case) is set up to the producer's credit and will be distributed later by action of the Board of Directors. The cash payment to be received now is $352,000. "The other return, a poultry patronage refund, gives the poultrymen poul-trymen an additional .01 cent per pound for every pound of live poultry marketed through the Association during 1945. An estimated esti-mated 6,000 poultrymen will share these two sizeable refunds. Our accounting department will release the egg patronage refund re-fund within the next few days and, then immediately start work on the poultry patronage checks." "The refunds," states Mr. Ferre, "are mailed directly to our branches. Patronage refunds distributed at our branches combine com-bine favorably with egg deliveries and feed pick-ups. Veteran members are familiar with this practice and keep in close touch with their branch." |
