Show Funeral Held Sunday For Fred C. Shoell The large Timpanogos Slake Tabernacle was filled to capacity on Sunday afternou with sorrowing relatives and friends who assembled assem-bled to pay final respects to the memory of one of Pleasant Grove's most prominent citizens ami church worker Fred C. Shoell, and to express sympathy to his family. With Bishop Jos. S. Walker of the Third Ward in charge, the impressive im-pressive services began at 2 p. m. with a vocal solo, "A Perfect Day" by Warren Kirk. He was accompanied accom-panied by a string trio, including Miss Winona Monson, Miss Ro-niona Ro-niona Monson and Miss Carol Clark. Invocation was asked by President Presi-dent M. S. Christianson. The first speaker was H. M. Wright of Salt Lake City, a former for-mer Bishop of the Third Ward, who paid tribute to Mr. Shoell for his untiring efforts in Boy Scout work and his great love of youth, and concluded by reading the Brideg Builder. Scout Master A. A. Anderson told of his work with Mr. Shoell, their long acquaintnace and of his great faith in the Gospel. President Wliford W. Warnick also eulogized the life and work of Mr. Shoell, and spoke words of encouragemnet to the family. Closing remaiks were made 1 y Bishop Walker. Musical numbers interspersing the speakers were: a Boy Scout Chorus directed by Miss Reva West,, sang "Going Home". The personnel included: Calvin Walker, Newell Adamson, Ben Walker, Stanley Weeks, Charels Christian-son, Christian-son, John Hilton and Joe Hilton. A voacl solo, "I'll- Go Where You Want Me To Go," by Mrs. May R. Walker, accompanied by Miss Louise Walker and the closing number bv the string trio, 'One Fleeting Hour." Benediction was pronounced by H. S. Walker and the dedicatory nrayer at the graveside in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery was offered by Wra. Cullimore. Pall bearers were members of the High Council and included A. r. Warnick. Gilbert Richardson, Elwod Baxter, Isaac Jacob, Leonard Leon-ard S. Walker and L. M. Atwood. |
