Show huneral Held Wed. For David B. Covington Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon in the Second Sec-ond ward LDS Chapel for David B. Covington, who died Saturday evening at his home of a heart ailment. The services, conducted by Bishop Bish-op Reed O. Walker, began at 2 o'clock with the Relief Society Singing Mothers singing O My Father. They were directed by Mrs. Wesley Jense and accompanieid by Mrs. J. Howard Nelson. David Hilton of Salt Lake City Wyo.; the following brothers and sisters, Joseph W. and John T. Covington, Torrey; Mrs. Emily Griggs, Harker, Ore.; John L. Covington, Cov-ington, Robert and Heber Covington, Coving-ton, Orderville; Mrs. Charlotte ; Rawlins, Midway; Mrs. Phoebe I Lamb, Pioche, Nev.; Loren and Henry Covington, Hurricane; Don Covington, Cane Beds, Ariz.; Eugene Eug-ene Covington, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Miriam Bradshaw, Orem; 19 grandchildren. Mr. Covington raised one grandchild, Karen Morrill. offered the invocation. Speakers who paid tribute to the life and work of Mr. Covington and spoke words of sympathy and encouragement en-couragement to his family were Bishop Pectol of Torrey, Utah, with whom Mr. Covington had served ser-ved as a counselor in the bishopric, President Merrill N. Warnick of Timpanogos Stake and Ernest Jackson, a brother in law. All told of Mr. Covington's dependibility, his faith in the Gospel and his untiring un-tiring work in pioneering the far communities of Souftiern Utah. Interspersing the speakers, Mrs. J. E. Hardman and Mrs. Leland Beers sang two duets, In the Garden Gar-den and Teach Me to Pray. After closing remarks by Bishop Reed O. Walker, benediction was pronounced by C. R. Clark former bishop of the second ward. Internment, directed by Olpin Mortuary, was made in the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove City Cemetery, where the dedicatory' prayer was offered by Ernest Brinkerhoff. Pallbearers also close relatives, included Clarin D. Covington, Dee Covington, Robert Rob-ert Covington, Joe T. Covington and Wenzle Morrill. Mr. Covington was born March 30, 1876 in Adamsville, Beaver County, a son of John Thomas and Elizabeth Adams Covington. He " " was educated in Orderville, Kane County, moving to Torrey in 1900. He operated a ranch there and moved to Pleasant Grove in 1940. Mr. Covington was an active member of the Church, serving 7 years in the bishopric of the Torrey Tor-rey ward. Surviving are his widow, Amelia Larsen Covington, whom he married mar-ried in 1904; the following sons and daughters, Douglas D.
