Show Mrs. R. E. Wolf of Payson, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith of this city were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Smith. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Hall of Pocatello, Idaho, visited the Smiths. Monday afternoon a "neighborhood" "neighbor-hood" party was held at the home of Mrs. Olive Binnal. Twenty-five neighbors and friends were there and enjoyed a delightful time in playing games and social chat. A tasty supper sup-per was served early in the evening. Guests for dinner of Mrs. Emma Foster on Thanksgiving day were Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Larsen and son, Clinton; Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Poster and daughter; Henry Stevens, Mr. and Mrs. Forbes Foster of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Whipple and son, Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth Foster and son of Bingham. I 1 The Sorosis Club ladies met Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon as guests of Mrs. Warren Boley. Twenty were present including Mrs. Ivy Steele, Mrs. Zina Priday and Mrs. Lizzie Chipman, special guests. The making of gifts for Christmas occupied the afternoon, after-noon, following which a dainty lunch was served. PI. Grove News REGISTRATION OF BABIES OF THE STATE ASKED FOR The department of Commerce, Bureau of Census, at Washington, D. C, is making an investigation of the completeness of the birth registration regis-tration of the state- Cards are being be-ing sent out to every family of Pleasant Grove. Every baby that has been born within the last twelve months must be registered. If any one should receive a card and there is no baby in the family, the card should be handed to a neighbor who has a baby to register. Babies born dead are not registered. o Joseph H. Adams and daughter, Mrs. Roena A. Clark, attended the funeral of Miss Emily Carson at Lehi last Sunday. Mrs. Jennie Smith and family were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Buhler at Midway, Sunday. Miss Marjorie Holdaway entertained enter-tained at a children's party last Sunday afternoon in honor of her niece, Shirley West. The afternoon ws spent in children's games. A iainty lunch was served. Sixteen guests were present. Mr. and Mrs- John S. Holdaway are receiving congratulations on the birth of twin grandsons. Jenson have been confined to their home the past ten days with chicken chick-en pox. Thomas Hillman is seriously iH at his home. James H. Walker, who recently underwent an operation for mastoid trouble, was seen on Main street Wednesday. The Second Ward Relief Society will hold their annual conference next Sunday evening, December 9th. j After the opening exercises a pro-' gram will be rendered. A talk by( the president, Jennie T. Smith,! sustaining of officers by secretary,' Mrs. Hannah Halliday, followed by a chorus by the singing mothers, under the direction of Mrs. Vida Conway will be given. Other talks j will be given by Hilda Fair, class leader of the theological depart-! ment; Millie R- Poulson of the Work. - and Business department; Cleone Kirk, Literary department, and Martha Peterson of the Social Service department. Mrs. Bertha Gray will give a Christmas story. Bishop B. H. Adams and stake officers of-ficers present will also give short talks. The Second Ward Junior Geneal: ogical class enjoyed an oyster supper sup-per Thursday night at the home of Ruby Williams. Those present were Helen Rushton, Leah Smith, Ha Hardman, LaRue Nelson, Aftom Nelson Nel-son and Mrs- Nancy Peterson.. The Bee Hive girls of the First Ward M. I. A. entertained' the Boy Scouts of the ward at a dinner oarty and social last Monday eve1 ning at the home of Jean Louder: After the dinner the- evening was -pent in miscellaneous games and' social chat.
