Show Pleasant Grove Locals Mrs. William Beck of Hurley, Ida-family Ida-family on Friday. Utah Keetch and Verl Kirk were dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Lowder. Mrs. Ethel Drysdale has .been employed em-ployed by the Lewis clothing Store' at Provo during the holiday rush. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Harper spent New Year's day with their daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Thelma Bloomquist, at Salt Lake City. Mrs. Nita Bradley, who has spent the holidays at the home of Mary B. Hales, returned Tuesday to her home in Salt Lake City. Miss Margaret Kirk, who has spent the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Kirk, returnee: to her school work at the U. S. A. C. at Logan. The Windsor ward Relief Society officers held a business meeting Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Martha T. Keetch. After the business had been taken care of a social hour and refreshments were enjoyed. Progressive games were enjoyed by the following: William. Stagg, Muriel Hone, Antone Gleason, Ross. Brinley, Ruby Williams, Margaret Stagg, Virgil Vir-gil Peterson, Mack Killiams, Gilbert Stagg, Ruth Peay, Ervine Smith and' Leah Stagg, Wednesday, December! 27th, at the Wm. Stagg home. Officers and teachers of the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove Second ward enjoyed a work party and oyster supper at the home of Emily Peay on December 26. Pop corn balls were made and sold Wednesday evening at the Sunday Sun-day School program. Maybelle Farr, Virgil Peterson, Gwen Farr, Reva Mitchell, Winnefred Farr, Arva Nel-I Nel-I son, Ruby Williams, Reed Walker, Mack Williams, John Coulam and Ruth Peay were the guests. A Christmas party was given by Muriel Hone and Kuby Williams at I the Williams' home December 28th. I The Christmas theme was carried out in delicious refreshments and ' snappy games. Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Wright were pleasantly surprised Wednesday evening when a number of old em- ployes of the Pleasant Grove Cann-;ing Cann-;ing Co. arrived at his new home to I spend the evening. After an inspection inspec-tion of the new home, the evening was spent in progressive games and reminensces of many years of working work-ing together. Refreshments were served to the following: Mr. and Mrs. James D. Thorne, Mr. and j Mrs. Thomas Jacobs, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Wadley, Mr. and Mrs. Leon M. Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mills. A number of young people between be-tween the ages of 14 and' 20 have been ill the past six weeks with mumps. Jean Fugal, son of Mrs. J. P. Fugal, is getting better after about three weeks illness and a number num-ber of (boys and girls about his age have had the disease usually contracted con-tracted at an early age. Mrs. Maria Green perhaps is the oldest person to have had the disease the past few .weeks. The family of James Gillman gathered at his home New Year's day and enjoyed an annual reunion. A picnic dinner was served by members mem-bers of the family at noon, and the remainder of the day was spent in early family reminences and social chat. Those present were Mr. and Mrs J. W. Gillman, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gillman, Mr. and Mrs. Vem Gillman, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde GUI-man GUI-man Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hams, and Mr. and Mrs. James of Crescent". Cres-cent". The annual meeting of the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove N. F. L. Al will be held next Tuesday at the Manila church at 2 o'clock p. m. Wamick accompanied his son,- George, and Roy Swenson and Grant Atwood to Logan Tuesday where the boys will attend the U. S. A. C. the remainder of the winter. win-ter. Miss Juana Taylor is back to her work in the grade school after spending the holidays with her relatives rela-tives in Salt Lake City. The men of the C. C. Camp in American Fork canyon returned to their work at the Forest Ranger's cabin in South Fork Tuesday after spending the holidays with relatives. Miss Ruth Peterson, teacher of Domestic Art at, the High School, returned the first of the week from Logan, where she spent the holidays holi-days with her parents. The Mikanwee class of the Windsor Wind-sor ward Primary entertained their mothers last Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Eva Walker. A program pro-gram was rendered, and dainty refreshments re-freshments served. ' Mrs. Bemiece Monson, representing represent-ing the Stake Board of Relief Society was a visitor at the Windsor ward Relief Society last Tuesday afternoon. after-noon. Mr. and Mrs. MarteUe' Keetch entertained en-tertained the Keetch family at dinner din-ner on New Year's day. The guests present were: Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Keetch, Utah and Ruth Keetch, Mr. and Mrs. Odeal Kirk, Verl Kirk and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Keetch of Heber. Miss Louise Christiansen entertained enter-tained at a social Friday evening. The time was spent in progressive games and social chat. Those present pres-ent were: Mr. and Mrs. Harold Keetch, Mr. and Mrs. Vance West, Miss Gwen West, Mr. Niel Fugal, Mr. Lee Gourley, Mr. Myron Jense, Miss Edna Fugal, Miss Edna Christiansen Christ-iansen and George Nelson. Bishop and Mrs. L. M. Atwood entertained en-tertained the Atwood family at dinner din-ner on New Year's day. The family fam-ily includes Bishop and Mrs. F. D. Atwood, Miss Ardena Atwood, Mr. and Mrs. William Atwood of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. John Atwood At-wood of Charleston, and Mr. and Mrs. Wesley J. Beck. A progressive New Year's Eve dinner was enjoyed at the following follow-ing homes: Mr. and Mrs. Vance West, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Nielson, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Clayton and Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Fugal. The group then went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Gamett where Mr. and Mrs. Harland Simmons entertained at progressive games. Miss Edna Fugal entertained Sunday Sun-day evening at a "Watch Party" to aid in welcoming the New Year. The evening was spent in games and asocial chat. Those present were Edna Ed-na Christiansen, Leone Burch, Jennie Jen-nie Burch, Margaret Lee, Gwen Wise, Louise Christiansen, Gene Richins, Edith Preston, Avis West, Jean Smith, Rhea Halliday, Charles Harris, Cecil Bullock, David Green, Wan-en Kirk, Niel Fugal, Bryan Fugal, Lee Gourley, George Nielson and Vance West. Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Wright moved into their beautiful hew home in the Second ward during the Christmas Christ-mas holidays. This home is perhaps per-haps the most modern home in this city. It has many ideal features in the way of electric service, ventilation, ventila-tion, and heating. A jolly time was reported by a group who enjoyed a progressive supper on New Year's eve. Those participating in the fun were: M and Mrs. Paul Adamson, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Thorne, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marratt, Mr. and Mrs. Vem Cullimore, Mr. and Mrs. Golden Peay, Dr. and Mrs. C. O.
