Show Hunters Prepare For Approaching 'Open' Seasons With the deer hunting and duck shooting season only a little more than two weeks away, sportsmen of north Utah county this wees were cleaning shotguns and rifles, doing a bit of practice shooting, stocking up on shells and other supplies, and otherwise getting ready for their annual expeditions. From all indications, there will be a general exodus from this section on and before October 21, when the deer season opens. In addition to the regular kill, the shooting of some 10,000 does will be allowed this year, to permit holders. The open season on migratory wildfowl will begin Sunday, October I 22, and continue until December 5, I according to the proclamation of I Newell B. Cook, Utah fish and game j commissioner. Shooting will be ! allowed from 7 a. m. to 4 p. m. each day, with shotguns having a capacity ' of not more than three shells, j Hunters are required to have a j federal bird hunting stamp, i Five days of pheasant shooting will be allowed in Utah county this ' year, from November 5 to 10.
