Show ewaaa Utah County Fair, Sept-25, Sept-25, 26 and 27, To Be Bigger and Better Nothing is being left undone to make the annual Utah county fair this year, September 25, 23 and 27, bigger and better than ever. At the present time the grounds are being leveled and all the waste places on the east side are being filled, covered with soil and planted with grass. A beautiful row of trees have been planted all around the fair grounds to enhance the beauty of the surroundings. poultry utility plant. If the present plans are accomplished, accomp-lished, one of the greatest displays of apples ever exhibited in Utah, county will be in the horticultural building. J. W. Gillman, chairman of the Utah County Commission, and H. V. Swenson, horticultural inspector, are sponsoring the general arrangements for this show. Space and new table facilities have been built for community exhibits. A long central table has been built; painted and arranged for this purpose, pur-pose, with space alloted for each community. It is hoped that each city In Utah county will avail themselves of the opportunity to make this exhibit ex-hibit worthwhile. The race track has been graded, raked and placed in good shape for the fall races- Three new chariots have been procured for the chariot races, and it is hoped that there will be enough interest among the horsemen horse-men of the county to prepare to take advantage of the purses being offered for this race. Instead of two horses for this race as has previously been the custom, four horses will be used. A three horse relay race, one-half mile, has teen added to the sport program. pro-gram. Handsome purses are also being be-ing given for this event The younger people of the county are urged to participate in this festure. The dairy premium list is being praticularily emphasized this year, with the anticipation that the largest show of dairy cattle ever assembled in Utah county will be on exhibit-Both1 exhibit-Both1 the Holstein-Fresian and Jersey cattle organizations are back of this movement. There will be more classes in premiums than ever before. A large poultry exhibit is also being be-ing prepared.
