Citizens Citi-zens are urged to aid In keeping the streets in front of their premises in an orderly condition. As soon as back yards are dry enough to rake and clean up, the work should be done. Front yard flower gardens can be looked into now, hedges pruned prun-ed and winter debris removed. Rose bushes can be pruned just a little later, so that one can be sure just how much dead wood to remove. If peonies are to be moved our purchased, purchas-ed, it should be done as early as possible, poss-ible, so as not to injure the plants. One well known agriculturist in passing the City Park remarked that "Now is the time, to begin our flower flow-er gardens there. The earlier the lawn is planted the better the chance to get a start before the warp weather weath-er begins". All citizens are interested interest-ed in this new parking project and if the City Fathers, Chamber of Commerce, Com-merce, Liong Club, schools and any other cMc bodies would get behind this valuable project, it would not take long to make a garden spot beautiful to the eye of the passer by and an asset to our city. Much work could be done if a little enthusiasm is shown among public officials and citizens. The City Fathers Fath-ers have their road grader on the streets In different parts of the city. This will make the various roads in first class condition as soon as the loose rocks are removed. |
