Show Funeral Held Here For Mrs. Virginia Vir-ginia R, Wood Funeral services for Virginia Rushton Wood, 22, of Fresno, California, Cali-fornia, were held Tuesday in the First ward chapel, Bishop T. A. Greenwood in charge. The opening song was sung by Eda and Bona Ashby and Thornton Young offered the opening prayer. Darrell Wan-lass Wan-lass then sang "Link Divine," accompanied ac-companied by Lydia Olson at the piano and Miss Maxine Taylor and K. J. Bird on the violin. Speakers tfor the occasion were Leonard E. Harrington, Lot Robinson Robin-son and Jesse M. Walker. The speakers speak-ers all offered many words of comfort com-fort to the family and all spoke of the pleasing personality of Virginia. Vir-ginia. Superintendent Walker remarked re-marked on how well she was liked by her classmates and on the good record she had made in her studies when she attended school in American Amer-ican Fork. Further musical numbers were given by Mrs. Clifford Young, who sang "Calling Me Home," Mildred Chipman, who sang "Lay My Head Beneath a Rose," and the closing number, "Abide With Me," which was sung by Eda and Bona Ashby. Bishop Greenwood made a few closing remarks, after which Ray Elsmore offered the closing prayer. Interment was made in the city cemetery where the grave was dedicated ded-icated by Bishop T. A. Greenwood. The following young men acted as pall bearers: Wendell Kirkpat-rick, Kirkpat-rick, Niles Wing, Fred Nielson, Dale Binns, Elliott Lee and Sidney Stewart. Stew-art. Mrs. Wood was born in Iona, Idaho, Ida-ho, October 27. 1914, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Rushton. She attended schools in Salt Lake and high school in American Fork, where she took an active part in extra-curricular activities. She graduated grad-uated from the local high school in 1933, and married Vernal Wood, May 28, 1935. Surviving are her husband, a son and her parents, all of Fresno, and the following brothers and sisters: G. E. Rushton, Lewiston; Idaho; C. W. Rushton. Los Angeles, Calif.: L. J.
