Show Dr. H. H. Ramsay To Speak At P. T.AJVleeting Dr. H. H. Ramsay, director of the State Training School will be the speaker at the P. T. A. meeting February 22nd at 7:30 p. m. in the Harrington building. Dr. Ramsay's subject will be "Mental Hygiene". Dr. Ramsay is well known in his particular field and will no doubt give those who attend something worthwhile. Due to the fact that about ninety per cent of children come in contact con-tact with the tubercle-bacillus before be-fore they are fifteen years of age, the Department of Health of Alpine School District, is sending out a form letter asking permission of the parents to test the child for tuberculosis. tuber-culosis. Sir Arthur Newsholme, M. D., ranks tuberculosis as one of our chief enemies. He ranked this first as the cause of preventable deaths between the ages of fifteen and sixty-five. The tuberculosis test will be given to pupils of the first and fifth grades, also, high school students at their respective schools. |
