Show I The marriage of Miss Marie Dur rant, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Durrant and Lydale Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Peterson of Lehi, took place October 17th at Provo, and was performed by Judge Turner, cousin of the bridegroom. In the evening a dinner was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Durrant for the immediate families. On Thursday evening, October 26, a reception and dance was given in their honor in the Memorial hall at Lehi. About one hundred relatives and friends of the young couple were in attendance. A program was enjoyed en-joyed by all. Late in the evening a delicious I lunch was served. The young cou- pie were recipients of many beauti-j beauti-j ful and useful gifts. They will re-' re-' side in Lehi. I Responding to the invitation of Bishop John R. Hindley, former i resident of American Fork, a group of people met at the Library build-i build-i ing Sunday, October 20th, where a pioneer picture was presented to the Public Library by John R. and Emfit Hindley. I The following program was carried 'out: Violin solo, ."Step by Stfrp", Mrs. C. E. Young; Tribute to Mother. 'Annie Hindley Curtis; reading, Mary I E. Abel; presentation of picture, !john R. Hindley; acceptance in behalf be-half of library board, Lloyd B. 'Adamson; remarks, President A. J. ; Evans and President Earl S. Green-! Green-! wood. I The oil painting is a reproduction by Lucille Curtis, granddaughter of Bishop Hindley, representing a cov-er'-d wa?rn train camped on the prairie. The picture will adorn the . north wall and be an asset to our 1 library. |
