A large crowd was in attendance and spent an enjoyable evening in the beautifully-decorated hall, dancing danc-ing to the music of Howard Nelson's orchestra. The. highlight of the evening was the queen's procession, at 9:30. Miss Eleen Devey, the Gold and Green queen, and her attendants, Miss 'Mary Dunsdon and Miss Afton Devey, were very charming. ' Their escorts were Keith Beck, Dale Burgess Bur-gess and Paul Wiser, respectively. Phyllis McDaniel and Darlene Smith were the flower girls; Burke Neb-lin, Neb-lin, the trumpeter; Mela Moyle, the crown-bearer; and Carla Beck and Aline Nicholes, the train bearers. The hall was artistically decorated in the Ml I. A. colors, gold and green lighting adding to the beautiful effect . Mr.- and Mrs. Wendell Moyle, Maxine Moyle and Thayne Bate-ma,n Bate-ma,n spent Wednesday in Salt Lake City,, where they saw the picture, Gone With the Wind. Mr. and Mrs. James .Grant and daughter are visiting at the home of Leonard Bates. Mrs. Annie Strong, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Clark, and Beverly and Bessie Clark spent Sunday in Salt Lake City, where they attended funeral services for Mrs. Strong's Sister, Mrs. Minnie Carlisle. I- |
