Mrs. Margaret Meeks wishes the students who are eating at the lunch room to donate more potatoes, carrots, and eggs. The Negro Plantation Singers, natives of the South and graduates from negro schools, entertained the student body Wednesday with a variety va-riety of southern airs. They were indeed gifted singers and true to the heritage of their race. Included in the group were: Richard Smith, first tenor and pianist; Elbert Cobbs, second tenor; Howard Wall, baritone; bari-tone; Charles Younger, bass. Home rooms were held last Wednesday Wed-nesday during the last half of the fifth period. Members of each class met with the advisors to discuss their own school problems. Commencement card samples have been received and are being examined by the seniors of the Pleasant Grove high school. A class committee, composed of John Conway, Con-way, president; Morley Keetch, vice -president; and Maurine Beck, secretary, secre-tary, will make a final decision on these cards. t The senior class students are having hav-ing a leap year party in the girls' gymnasium, Saturday night, February Feb-ruary 17. The evening will be spent in dancing and punch and cookies will be served. The party is under the supervision of John Conway, and Morley Keetch. |
