Show Am. Fork Locals Tunc in on K-S-L Sunday at 8:30 a. m. and hear Judge Rutherford discuss Bible questions. 12-13-5tp. Miss Helen Pett spent last week in Bingham, a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hosking. Mrs. Richard Hansen was taken to the Lehi hospital for medical treatment on the 28th of December. Mrs. George Holindrake returned home on December 27th from the Lehi hospital where she underwent j an appendix operation. Mrs. John Myers and son, Garth, spent the Christmas holidays in Sandy visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Golden Baxter. Mr. and Mrs. Keith C. Nielsen of Pocatello, Idaho, spent Christmas with Mr. Nielsen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Nielsen. Christmas day guests at the home ! of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Ashby were: j Mr. and Mrs. Edwin R. Kimball and children of Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Arbon and baby of Bountiful. Mr. and Mrs. Val Gaisford and baby of Price, spent the holidays visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gaisford. Miss LaPriel Myers returned home ' Sunday from Hawaii where she has been attending school for the past j two months. Miss Myers returned by way of Vancouver, Washington. Mrs. Rulon Nicholes, who underwent under-went a major operation in the L. D. S. hospital several weeks ago returned re-turned home Christmas Eve. Mrs. Nicholes is recovering rapidly. Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Jory of Salt Lake, Robert Sweeten of California, and Mrs. Emily Poster spent Monday Mon-day afternoon visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Beck. Mr. and Mrs. Lenis Abel of Salt Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Dean S. Webb of Lehi, spent Christmas at the home of Mr. and Mrs. K. J. Bird. Christmas dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. B. .damson .dam-son were: Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Keetch and son, Mrs. Pearl Wad-ley Wad-ley of Pleasant Grove and Miss Eva Baxter. Miss Clarice Bromley and Lloyd Carter of Ogden spent Christmas in American Fork with Miss Bromley's Brom-ley's mother, Mrs. Sadie Bromley. Miss Beth Holmes who is employed employ-ed in Sacramento, California, is spending the holidays with her father, fa-ther, Z. A. Mr. . and Mrs. Glen Timothy and two children of Greeley, Colorado, spent Christmas with Mrs. Timothy's Timo-thy's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Nielsen. Mr. Timothy returned home Sunday. Mrs. Timothy and her two children will visit in American Ameri-can Fork for a couple of weeks. Mr. and Mrs. John Beck entertained enter-tained Christmas evening for the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Gus Fernley, Mr. and Mrs. "Wendell Fernley, Ronald Fernley, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Kelly of Provo, Hubert Keddington and Mrs. Stanford Wilde and son, Dick. Mr. "William Bone of Beardsley, Minnesota, is spending a month in American Fork visiting with his sister, Mrs. Rudolph Konold. It has been twenty-five years since Mrs. Konold last saw her brother. Mr. Bone' reports that he likes Utah I fine and is enjoying his stay here. A turkey supper which will include in-clude a dance and program is being sponsored by the three Bee Hive classes of the Highland ward under Mr. Alva L. Kelly of Burley, Idaho is visiting this week in American Fork with his family. Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Allen and family spent Christmas day in Lehi at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest , Garrett. I Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Nicholes and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Nicholes of Lehi spent Christmas in Provo at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph K. Nicholes. Mrs. Ray D. Nicholes of Logan, is spending the holidays in Ameri- ; can Fork and Provo visiting with friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith of Grand Junction were holiday visitors visi-tors at the home of Mr. Smith's mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith. The Variety Club met at the home of Mrs. C. E. Grant on Tuesday. Three tables of bridge were played and the high score guest prize was won by Mrs. Frank Brown and the club prize by Mrs. Mate Earl. Late in the afternoon a dainty lunch was served. Special guests were Mrs. Owen Humphries, Mrs. Frank Brown, Mrs. Milton Adams and Mrs. Rulon Peterson of Lehi. I ; . 'ia. The child", was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs-i Orval Benson. Merrill Clayson of Salt Lake accompanied Mrs. Booth.. Eldon Healey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Healey of Alpine, was treated at the Lehi hospital Monday for gun shot wounds received when he was ' accidently shot in the left leg. The Junior Literary League members mem-bers will meet at the home of Mrs. Marion Green next Monday night. Mrs. Ross Buckwalter has charge of the program. A good attendance is desired as an especially fine program pro-gram has been arranged. Mr. and Mrs. Will Hymas and family were involved in an automobile auto-mobile accident on Christmas day. Mrs. Hymas, who is a daughter of Fred Howes, was not seriously hurt although Mr. Hymas was badly cut and bruised. The children in the car were unhurt except the baby who was badly bruised about the head and face. The members of the Contract Club and their partners held a delightful de-lightful progressive party Tuesday night. The guests met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Coddington, after which they went to Mr. and Mrs. James Chadwick's. The third place of call was Dr. and Mrs. V. F. Houston's and the crowd finished finish-ed the evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Devey. Games were played and part of the lunch was served at each home. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Glen Sykes, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Devey, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Coddington, Dr. and Mrs. Vern Houston, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Meredith, Mr. and Mrs. Stanford Briggs, Mr. and Mrs. James Chad-wick, Chad-wick, Mr. and Mrs. David Taylor and Mr. and Mrs. M. Club at Bromley's last Saturday. A hot supper was served after which four tables of bridge were played, the cut prize being won by Mrs. Elijah Chipman, high score by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brown, and the consola- tion prize was awarded to Milton Adams. i i Mr. and Mrs. Vern Beck and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Adamson left Sunday Sun-day for California where Mr. and Mrs. Beck will visit with their son : and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Jay ; Beck and Mr. and Mrs. Adamson will visit with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Taylor. Mrs. Taylor was formerly ! . Miss Dorothy Adamson. Mrs. Fred Howes and Naomi Chip-man Chip-man entertained at a shower last Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Howes, in honor of Mrs. Doyle Tempest, Tem-pest, a recent bride. Games were played and prizes were won by Mrs. Ben Mofiett and Mrs. Reed Robinson. Robin-son. The house was beautifully decorated in Christmas colors and the luncheon carried out the color scheme of red and green. |
