Kcarsley of Drlggs, Idaho, spent the first few days of the week with Mrs. Kears- Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Freeman have moved to the Spencer home on Locust Lo-cust Avenue to make their home for a time and plan to build at the cite of their old home on the State Road. Mr. and Mrs.. Hyrum M. Ipson and family of Salt Lake City, were week end guests of Dr. and Mrs. G. Y. Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Harris are rejoicing over the arrival of a winsome win-some baby girl bom at the Crane Maternity hospital at Provo Wednesday, Wed-nesday, September 15th. A dinner was served to the Manila Ma-nila w;ard bishopric and their wives and the stake presidency and stake cork and their wives Sunday evening eve-ning at the home of Bishop Laurence Laur-ence Atwood, after which they attended at-tended the Manila ward conference. Mrs. Avis West and Miss Edna Fugal will entertain afew intimate girl friends at a shower tonight for Miss Gwyn West, a bride of the near future. Mrs. Marie Christensen of San Francisco, California, visited with friends and relatives in Pleasant Grove Sunday and Monday, being a dinner guest of Mrs. M. S. Christiansen Chris-tiansen Sunday and Mrs. Minnie Anderson on Monday. Mrs. Estella W. Gillman returned last week from Cleaveland, Ohio, where she accompanied her daughter-in-law, Mrs. John Gillman, and one of her twins, where the babe underwent a serious operation. The mother remained with the baby as another operation will be necessary. In honor of her little daughter, Connie Rae's fourth birthday anniversary, anni-versary, Mrs. Oscar M. Cragun entertained en-tertained the following little friends Saturday, September 18: Patsy, Darlyn and Mina Mae Cragun, Mel-ba Mel-ba Kirk, MorrisJ. Swenson, Shirley and Audry Baxter, Clayton Wright, Douglas and Opal Roberts and Kenneth Ken-neth Shoell. Mrs. Roena A. Clark, station agent at Pleasant Grove for the Orem Co., returned home Friday from a very enjoyable two weeks vacation. Part of the time was spent with relatives and friends at San Francisco and part of the time with her son J. O. and wife at Twin Falls, Idaho. Mr. Christensen of Orem substituted during her absence. |
