Huchel attended the play "East of Suez" at the Playhouse Sunday. They also enjoyed the Vita-phone Vita-phone picture at the Paramount. Mrs. Martha Adams and lijttle son, Paul, visited with her husband Arza Adams Sunday at Heher. Mr. Adams is emlployed by the State road ' commission. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Grua and Mrs. Lavina Fugal attended a meeting of the Farm Bureau and Relief Society ladies at Springville Saturday. Mrs. Grua read the play "The Doll House" and Mrs. Fugal gave a talk on "Home Flower Gardens." Mr. and Mrs. Hans Williamson, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Williamson, Mr. and Mrs. Alton Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Clark, Mr. and Mrs. James- D. Thorne attended the Utah-Juab Co. Firemens convention at Eureka Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Christiansen of j Ibapah, Utah, Mr. Andy Christiansen I of Anaconda, Montana, Mr. and Mrs Ole Christiansen and Mr. and Mrs. Kent Adamson attended the funeral of Mrs. Maria Green and Mrs. Renard Green entertained Saturday in honor of Leah Green. About thirty guests were present. Dainty refreshments were served. Mrs. Hazel Wadley Bailey returned to her parents home in Lindon Sunday, Sun-day, after a very serious operation at the ,Lehi Hospital. She is doing as well as can he expected. Mr. and Mrs. Art emus Holman, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Holman and Mrs. Edith Monson enjoyed a birthday dinner Sunday at the home of Mrs. Ora H. Chipman at American Fork. The preparation meeting of the Second Ward Primary was held at the home of Mrs. Rhoda Clark. Miss Ruth Peay assisted Mrs. Clark in the entertaining features and the serving of the refreshments, after the business busi-ness and social hour. C. L. Wright and James D. Thorne loft Friday morn ing for Ogden, to attend the Utah fanners convention at (he Hotel Bigelow. They will be joined Saturday by Mrs. Wright and Mrs. Thorne to en.' .y the social functions func-tions of the convention. The Federal Government cooperating cooperat-ing with the counly, completed the lesling of dairy cattle for tuberculos'is Friday in the Pleasant Grove district. The work will soon be completed in the entire county. All animals that were found to have the disease were killed and sold for one-third price. 7Irs. Margaret Whittle of Provo, visited Wednesday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Adamson. The Timpanogos Stake Board of the Religion class entertained Friday evening in honor of fl. D. Moore, Jr., their former superintendent, who recently re-cently resigned. The social was held at tiic Moore Residence. It was a real testimonial for the splendid services Mr. Moore had rendered in this organization. or-ganization. The evening was spent in games and music. U. faculty gave an illustrated illustrat-ed talk on her recent trip to Palestine and the Holy Land. She dressed in the costumes like the people she was talking about. A good attendance was reported. Mrs. J. O. Clark entertained in honor of "Grandma Barnes," Monday, March 4th for her 80th birthday. Dinner was served to the following guests: Mrs. Nellie Barnes, Mrs. Stark, Mrs. Mary Robison, Mrs. Nettie Walker, Mrs. J. H. Adams, Mrs. A. K. Thornton and Mrs. 'Jean Allred. Mr. and Mrs. Elvin West of Salt Lake, were visiting relatives here Sunday. Mary Poulson Wilson returned home the first of the week, after visiting visit-ing relatives in Garfield for the past three weeks. Mrs. Mary B.
