Show Talpinnews Mrs. Lenard Bates, Reporter The Old Folks were given a very fine entertainment last Friday, which was well attended. Dinner was served at noon followed by a program and dance in the afternoon. After supper the guests all returned to the gymnasium where they were joined by the young people for a rousing good dance. Many out of town visitors were present. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wood and children of Salt Lake, were guests Friday of Mrs. Wood's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Peterson and children of Salt Lake, were week- ; end guests of Mrs. Peterson's par- ; ents, Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Strong. j Mr. and Mrs. Darrow Turner of Heber were week-end guests of Mrs. Turner's parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Strong. The Alpine "M" Men basketball team are preparing to go to Ogden March 8th for the tournament having hav-ing carried off the honors of first place at the Provo tournament last week. The boys have the good wishes of their many friends for continued success. Mrs. D. J. Strong and Mrs. Thomas McGregor will entertain the Daughters Daugh-ters of the Pioneers of the Mount-ainville Mount-ainville camp at the home of Mrs. Strong Thursday afternoon, March 9th. Mrs. Vesper Diamond of Provo is visiting relatives in Alpine. Mr. Lloyd Miller is ill at his home here. His many friends hope for : his speedy recovery. Miss Asenith Moyle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Moyle, and Clark Chipman of American Fork, were married at Farmington last 1 week. The young couple will make ' their home in American Fork. |
